Early Learning Readiness Classes REGISTRATION FOR FALL

The Everett Family and Community Engagement, an Everett Public Schools’ program in partnership with the Malden YMCA offers Early Learning Readiness classes for children ages 1 to 5 and their caregivers.

Parents/caregivers workshops are offered throughout the year. The purpose of these workshops is to inspire families to engage their children in a variety of fun activities offering opportunities that allow the children to observe and explore while doing everyday tasks and guide them to reflect on new discoveries and understandings.

New moms and newborns Program

Mommy and Me is a program developed to support first time moms and their infants since the beginning!
We understand that the Prenatal Education and Postpartum follow up are critical to achieving goals as a calm mother, and a well attended baby.
This group provides parenting support and help  expectant and new mothers on developing the skills they need to provide a nurturing environment for their children.

Raising a Reader program increases access to books and  gives families resources and support to strengthen the culture of reading at home.

Research shows a significant factor impacting a child’s lifelong success is being regularly read to by their parents or other primary adult caregiver before starting kindergarten.

Besides the red bag book rotation which puts dozens of high quality, developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate books in the hands of children and families to share at home each year, Raising A Reader provides multilingual workshops, training tools, and other support services that help parents master Interactive and Dialogic Reading strategies so they can read and share stories at home in a way that supports both their children’s early development and parent/child bonding.
